Tom Schaller (penname of Thomas F. Schaller) is a professor of political science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he has taught since 1998 after earning his PhD from the University of North Carolina.
He has authored several books on American politics, including works on congressional control and Democratic electoral strategy.
