خيال صحافة السياسة

جورج أورويل، واسمه الحقيقي إريك آرثر بلير، كاتب وصحفي إنجليزي اشتُهر بنقده الاجتماعي الحاد ومعارضته للشمولية.
استلهم من تجاربه ضابطاً في الشرطة الاستعمارية في بورما ومقاتلاً في الحرب الأهلية الإسبانية ليغذي كتاباته.
أصبح عملاه الأشهر، مزرعة الحيوان وألف وتسعمائة وأربعة وثمانون، علامتين ثقافيتين بارزتين، بينما لا تزال مقالاته عن السياسة واللغة مؤثرة حتى اليوم.
رغم مسيرة مهنية قصيرة نسبياً قطعها مرض السل، كان تأثير أورويل على الأدب والخطاب السياسي عميقاً وطويل الأمد.
