Anton Treuer
Dr. Anton Treuer (pronounced troy-er) is a Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University and a prolific author specializing in education, history, and Indigenous studies.
His deep involvement in Ojibwe tribal ceremonies has shaped him into a gifted storyteller rooted in Ojibwe cultural tradition, as well as a respected public speaker.
In 2018, he was honored as Guardian of Culture and Lifeways by the Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries, and Museums.
His young adult book, Everything You Wanted to Know About Indians But Were Afraid to Ask, won the SCBWI Golden Kite Award.
Where Wolves Don't Die marks his debut novel.
