Mary Lynn Bracht is an American author of Korean descent based in London, shaped by her upbringing within a large expatriate community of women who came of age in postwar South Korea.
A pivotal 2002 visit to her mother's childhood village first introduced her to the history of "comfort women," inspiring her literary debut.
Her novel White Chrysanthemum, published in January 2018 by both Chatto & Windus and Putnam Books, emerged from this deeply personal connection to Korean history.
She is represented by Rowan Lawton at Furniss Lawton Agency within the James Grant Group.
