サルマン・ラシュディ
Sir Ahmed Salman Rushdie is a British-Indian novelist and essayist known for his magical realist style and themes exploring connections between Eastern and Western cultures.
His fourth novel, The Satanic Verses, sparked violent protests and a fatwa calling for his death, forcing him into hiding for nearly a decade.
Rushdie's other notable works include Midnight's Children, which won the Booker Prize, and The Moor's Last Sigh.
