Vince Flynn was born in 1966 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Despite being diagnosed with dyslexia, he pursued writing after being medically disqualified from the Marine Corps.
Flynn self-published his first novel, Term Limits, which became a local bestseller and led to a publishing deal.
He went on to create the popular Mitch Rapp series, becoming a successful author in the spy thriller genre.
Flynn's perseverance in overcoming his learning disability and rejection letters showcases his determination.
