Saroo Brierley
Saroo Brierley was born in India in 1981.
At age 5, he became separated from his family and ended up alone on the streets of Calcutta.
After spending time in an orphanage, he was adopted by an Australian couple and raised in Tasmania.
As an adult, Brierley used Google Earth to locate his hometown in India and reunite with his birth mother after 25 years apart.
His incredible story gained widespread media attention, particularly in Australia and India.
Brierley went on to become a businessman and share his experiences through his memoir and the Oscar-nominated film adaptation "Lion." His journey highlights themes of family, identity, and the power of determination.
