Michael Scheuer
Michael F. Scheuer is a former CIA employee who spent 22 years with the agency.
He served as Chief of the Bin Laden Issue Station from 1996 to 1999 and as Special Advisor to the unit from 2001 to 2004.
After resigning in 2004, Scheuer became a news analyst for CBS News and a terrorism analyst for The Jamestown Foundation.
He teaches a graduate course on Al-Qaeda at Georgetown University and participates in conferences on terrorism and national security.
Scheuer's background in counterterrorism and his experience tracking Osama bin Laden have made him a prominent voice in discussions about US foreign policy and the War on Terror.
