Kirby Larson
Kirby Larson is an award-winning author of historical fiction and nonfiction picture books.
Her passion for history developed while writing Hattie Big Sky, which received a Newbery Honor in 2007.
Larson's works include The Fences Between Us, The Friendship Doll, and Hattie Ever After.
She has also written Duke and Dash, which have garnered numerous accolades and nominations.
Larson collaborates with Mary Nethery on nonfiction picture books, including Two Bobbies and Nubs.
She resides in Kenmore, Washington, with her husband and dog.
When not writing, Larson enjoys beach combing, bird watching, and traveling.
