Karen Foxlee is an Australian author known for her young adult and middle-grade novels.
Born in 1971 in Mount Isa, Queensland, she has worked as a registered nurse and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in creative writing.
Foxlee's debut novel, The Anatomy of Wings, won the Commonwealth Writers Prize Best First Book in 2008.
Her subsequent works, including The Midnight Dress and Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy, have received critical acclaim and international recognition.
The latter, published in 2014, has garnered several starred reviews.
Foxlee currently resides in Gympie, Australia, where she continues to write and contribute to the literary world.
