Antonio J. Mendez was a career CIA officer who specialized in disguises and document forgery.
He served for 25 years, rising through the ranks to become a high-level operative.
Mendez is best known for his role in the "Canadian Caper," where he helped extract six American diplomats from Iran during the 1979 hostage crisis, an operation later dramatized in the film Argo.
His expertise in creating alternate identities and exfiltrating agents from hostile territories made him a valuable asset to the CIA.
